Diary
I found a diary I kept in 1971, when I was 11 (5th grade). It's amazing.
I remember almost all the events that I describe in it -- and they pretty much jibe with my recollection.
I remember the day John Lennon's album Imagine came out. That day, I had what is called today, a "play-date" with a kid named Adam Hasher. My mom told me that Lennon's album came out. I just couldn't go on with the play-date. I HAD to have that album THAT day! The entry on September 28, 1971, bears out my memory:
"I played with Adam Hasher. I got John Lennon's new album 'Imagine'". I had heard the song "How" on the radio (and loved it) but my favorite song was "Give Me Some Truth". I just loved Lennon's anger in it.
