These are a
few of my favorite charities. Take some time to check them
out:
Operation
Give A Hug
provides to children of American soldiers fighting in Iraq
and Afghanistan a way to "hug" their deployed parent until
they return home. They provide the children with a teddy bear
with their parents picture in the dolls face.
Operation Gratitude
seeks to lift troops' morale, and bring a smile to their faces
by sending care packages to service members overseas.
The Fresh
Air Fund
has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.7 million
children from New York City’s toughest neighborhoods.
Recording
for the Blind & Dyslexic
is the leading producer of accessible educational materials
for students with disabilities such as visual impairment or
dyslexia that make reading standard print difficult or impossible.
