The Yankees "Big Four"

From 1949 through 1953, the New York Yankees won 5 straight World Championships. They were led by three outstanding pitchers - The Big Three - Allie Reynolds, Vic Raschi, and Eddie Lopat. In 1953, they were joined by future Hall of Fame lefthander Whitey Ford. When Whitey joined the rotation the Big Three became the Big Four. Only Whitey Ford is still living. This rare ball was signed by all four of the great Yankee pitchers mentioned above.
