Dizzy and Daffy

Dizzy Dean and his brother Paul (Daffy) were the pitching backbone of one of the most famous teams in history — the 1934 “Gas House Gang” St. Louis Cardinals. Before the season Dizzy said ”It ain't bragging if you can back it up … Me and Paul'll win 45 games this year.” Dizzy won 30 and Paul 19 on their way to a World Championship.

This ball was signed by both Dizzy and Daffy Dean.
While Dizzy Dean is a baseball legend, his brother Paul won 19 games each in his first two seasons (1934, '35) before injuring his arm, never to regain his greatness. Above is a note written by Paul listing the toughest hitters he ever faced: Babe Ruth, Paul Waner, Joe Dimaggio, Joe Medwick, Bill Terry, Ted Williams, and Mel Ott.
