Catch, Dad

This is the glove that pitching great Bob Feller's father wore to catch him growing up. Feller, one of the fastest pitchers ever, was a phenom by the time he was 11. One day, he threw a pitch so hard, it broke three of his father’s ribs! This is the mitt his father wore that day. Time Magazine wrote about the incident after Feller had started his stellar major league career at age 17, in 1937.
