Tom Seaver's 1969 World Series Jersey

This is the jersey that New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver wore during the 1969 World Series. Seaver was the Mets "ace" during the magical '69 season, when the Mets shocked the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles, and the baseball world, by winning it all. Seaver won 311 games, with a 2.86 earned run average and was one of the true "greats" of his era (1967-1986).

The numbers on the inside collar of this jersey represent the following: "43" = size, "69" = year, and "41" = number.
