Saying Goodbye to the Polo Grounds

This ball is from the last game played by the New York Giants, which was also the last game played at the Polo Grounds on September 29, 1957. One of the great franchises in baseball history, the Giants played in New York from the early 1880s until they moved to San Francisco in 1958. Along with this ball that was used in this historic game is a copy of the NY Daily News. One of the articles mentions many of the ex-Giants who were invited to attend that last game at the field where they thrilled so many fans.
