The Last Ball of a Magical Season

From 1941-1956, the Brooklyn Dodgers played the New York Yankees in the World Series seven times. They lost all but one of those Series except for the 1955 World Series. That year they beat the Yankees in a seven game Series, the only World's Championship for that storied franchise.

At the end of the last game of the Brooklyn Dodger's magical 1955 season, a rookie pitcher named Roger Craig ran out on the field and grabbed the last ball used. He wrote on the ball, "Last ball of Dodgers 1955 season".
